The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) has signed a cooperation agreement with NEVEX Institute Kft, which could accelerate the approval process of plant protection products, according to MTI. The experts at NEVEX can contribute to the introduction of new products by performing the evaluation process of plant protection products quickly and professionally.
Expanding the range of products is not only in the interest of distributors, but also for producers, as it makes available modern and effective defense solutions. The agreement is considered a long-term result by both parties.
According to the statement, the joint work of Nébih and NEVEX can provide a response to plant protection challenges in the rapidly changing and increasingly strict EU regulations. The cooperation between the state regulatory authority and the accredited partner organization is made possible by the Public Private Partnership (PPP) between the public and private sectors.

On the NEVEX Institute website, they say that as an accredited, regulatory partner organization, the company intends to participate in the process of plant protection product authorization, significantly reducing the time required for the authorization of new products and ultimately reaching Hungarian farmers. By operating transparently and in accordance with the highest professional standards, and keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, they aim to effectively ensure the successful accreditation process of active ingredients and chemical products in a unique PPP system in the European Union.
The increasingly stringent community regulations are constantly withdrawing chemical active ingredients and plant protection products that previously proved to be effective but had a greater impact on the environment than necessary. Therefore, it is particularly important that substitute or newer products can enter the market as soon as possible. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the precise, efficient, and reliable scientific evaluation of the authorization process, taking into account the full range of national and EU regulations, in line with the expectations of the market players who manufacture active ingredients and chemical products.
“Our goal is to support the authorization process while ensuring the application of national and European Union regulatory systems, promoting the rapid availability of efficient, modern and environmentally friendly products for Hungarian farmers,” they wrote.
