The ever-tightening European Union regulations remove important plant protection active ingredients from use every year, putting the self-sustaining Hungarian agricultural industry in a difficult position. There is a solution to the problem: new active substances and authorized plant protection products can create the conditions for efficient farming. However, this solution is hampered by the fact that the registration procedure for active substances and plant protection products is overburdened everywhere. According to the legislation, the licensing process must be completed by the authority within 12-18 months, whereas in Hungary this procedure is significantly lagging. The primary reason for this is that the responsibilities of the national authority are constantly increasing, therefore its expert\u2019s capacity is constantly behind of what would be needed. Studying the international and domestic practices, we can state that NEVEX Institute is able to solve the problem of plant protection product registration. <\/p>\n
